The cast is out of this world. Every person involved gives arguably the best performance of their respective careers. And still Cillian Murphy is transcendent. He manages to command the screen in every scene he is in. RDJ and Emily Blunt are also fantastic.

#Oppenheimer is Christopher Nolan's best film yet. For 180 minutes it just moves at a frenetic pace unlike anything I have ever seen. There is a almost breathtaking sense of urgency that is underlined by Göransson's perfect score.

#GuardiansOfTheGalaxyVol3 is perfect in every way imaginable. This is @JamesGunn's masterpiece that makes him the undisputed king of modern blockbuster cinema. Every character gets a time to shine. @PomKlementieff once again is a standout and @DaveBautista has never been better.

Groot is cool as hell and Chukwudi Iwuji is easily in the Top 3 MCU villains.
The story is beautifully told and the sendoff to my favorite group of characters is better than everything I could have hoped for.
The first Guardians of the Galaxy is the reason why I LOVE films.

Makoto Shinkai's 5 Centimeters per second looks breathtaking, especially on Blu-Ray. It is light on story and instead focuses heavily on conveying a melancholic mood. Not a homerun like Your Name or Weathering With You but beautiful nonetheless.

I might be biased since I'm a complete fanboy for @jes_chastain but I loved #The355 so much! I was completely invested in the story. The action was for the most part very well made and the performances by the 5 badass ladies plus Sebastian Stan was phenomenal!

Awakenings is the kind of film that feels like lightning in a bottle. Robert DeNiro's perfomance swept me off my feet and is made even better by being able to play off Robin Williams' understated portrayal.
An instant buy on Blu Ray for me.

71/2023: Fallen

Denzel Washington in a supernatural crime thriller sounds terrific which it is for the first hour. The 2nd one starts to become annoyingly repetitive and I hated the first person perspective shots throughout.
The last two scenes ruin the ending for me.
