@christie_mph I felt that today when rescheduling my dentist appt. Cancelled months ago & hadn't got to rescheduling. First appt that I could get was February! & that was with a somewhat flexible schedule. Then, after confirming she called me back that dds wasn't in on the day I scheduled 🙃
Future #publichealth conference attendee, Hayley, says thank you to those who took part this week in some way, shape or form-virtually, in person or that you wished you were there. We hope everyone had the best week!! See you next year💞 #wearepublichealth#thisisWPHA
@drStevenAJohn As a working parent, agreed. Going to WPHA this week while I validate that I barely have Childcare (wait lists since sept 2020) makes the in person conference overwhelming rather than refreshing. Let's hope for better.
@BrianCCastrucci I think about this all the time. The sector of public health externally being broad, but yet when we explain more what it is, we try to be specific while always leaving a sector (health system, CBO, etc) out which doesn't help us. #everythingispublichealth
#PHTYD: WPHA President Robin Lankton shared, "I want to say thank you to our dedicated professionals in WI and across the nation who have worked tirelessly this year and always to protect the health of the people and communities they serve." Learn more on https://t.co/h8CPuCC6eF
Definitely am feeling sad about not being at #APHA2021, wishing everyone rest and rejuvenation for the week ahead! @WIPublicHealth excited to follow along on Twitter though with my sidekick!
We need 80,000 more FTEs in our nation's state & local public health depts to provide the basic public health services Americans deserve. In #COVID19, we are surging on an underfunded, understaffed, and broken foundation. We need to rebuild a robust public health infrastructure.
