Last season, the @CleGuardians hired Amanda Kamekona as a hitting instructor and Katrina Gonzalez as an athletic director. They're making great strides at the Double A level this season and continue to shatter the glass ceiling

Guardians prospect Dayan Frias has baseball in his DNA, but he's out to carve his own path to the bigs.
After improving over his first two seasons and getting valuable experience with Colombia in the WBC, Frias' stock is up: https://t.co/rlZi5Ok00U
“Being in the same names as those guys makes me want to keep working even harder to get to where I want to be.”
Matt "Tugboat" Wilkinson's (@CleGuardians) 15-strikeout, no-hit performance for the @LynHillcats puts him on the same list as some current and future Hall of Famers: https://t.co/TR9o83i3CG
Women in sports continue to push new boundaries and inspire us all.
But right now we're seeing that even if you're the best, women are not paid their fair share.
It’s time that we give our daughters the same opportunities as our sons and ensure women are paid what they deserve.
In continuing our celebration of Women’s History Month, we are highlighting some of the incredible women across Cleveland and Major League Baseball history who have broken barriers and #InspireInclusion in others.
The San Francisco Giants hired Alyssa Nakken as a full-time on-field coach in 2020, making her the first woman in Major League history to hold such a position.
A longtime MLB executive, Kim Ng became the first woman to serve as a General Manager in the Big Leagues after being hired in 2020 by the Miami Marlins.
After the New York Yankees announced Minor League coach Rachel Balkovec’s promotion to manager of the club’s affiliate in Tampa, Florida, Balkovec became the first full-time woman manager of an MLB-affiliated Minor League team.
A former softball star at UCLA, Amanda Kamekona became the first on-field coach in Cleveland baseball history when she was hired by the club in 2023 to be a Minor League hitting instructor.

Chris Antonetti on telling Carlos Carrasco he made the team: "With the look on his face, you would’ve thought it was the first Opening Day roster he’s ever made. He was that happy. It’s pretty cool."
