Four young men were taking the stage and showcasing their groundbreaking debut album Kill ’Em All: James Hetfield had just turned 20, Lars Ulrich was 19, Kirk Hammett was 20, and Cliff Burton was 21.

Metal history was being made before the world fully realized what was coming.
