@TheWalker_07@DrainBamager It's always the things you don't expect. Like Kenny Omega, who took so many insane neck bumps in NJPW, but the move that almost ended his career was a standard dropkick from Okada. You never know.
@Dporticus AEW logo merch has outsold every single AEW talent every year since the start, even super heavy hitters like CM Punk. It's very much like ECW in that regard.
@TrevorDame It arguably is the best, although 2020-2021 is close. I'm especially fond of 2020 for personal reasons but they were cooking with fire throughout 2021 after the lockdown ended and crowds came back.
@BlkGrlWrestling Dial-up, yeah. It was on your phone line (landline), so you couldn't talk on the phone and be on the internet at the same time. You had to load up AOL and give it a minute to dial in and connect. Then you could go in chat rooms and early forums.
NEW: An inspiring moment of self-realization in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as CM Punk courageously aligns himself with a visionary government that criminalizes being gay and occasionally kills its critics

@WillWashington Eh, it's a fair list, I guess. MJ is the GOAT and did have some great R&B songs, but I don't think of him as an R&B artist. In the scope of that genre, I'd put him a bit lower on the list, under Prince.
@ArcherSniped@SimonMiller316 Even aside from console wars and people pledging allegiance to their chosen promotion, that's just plain old fashioned elitism. It exists in every fandom from comics and games to mainstream sports and movies, and it'll never go away. Just like what you like.
@XXXTEEBTACION My first exposure to Kenny Omega prior to watching NJPW in 2016 was a gif of him hitting a small child with a backbreaker in a match, so this tracks.
@AIRGold_ Legit think he got AEW and WWE mixed up. It's been 5+ years of critics calling out AEW for catering to workrate marks and hardcore wrestling fans instead of telling stories like WWE. Now Bret's saying the opposite.
@lincoln927 We booed his ass because he made himself into prime John Cena, including the Vince-level booking. AEW fans don't want John Cena in AEW. There's no place for that.
@davemeltzerWON I know there are quite a few like me who don't have cable and have spent the last five years watching AEW on Fite/Triller with a VPN. I now watch it on Max.
@annacdemarco Probably the greatest three-match sequence in history followed by an overbooked meh main event. It wasn't as terrible as some people make it out to be, but it just couldn't compete in any way with the previous three.
