Now her child has no mom because of her stupidity. If you don’t believe in modern medicine or science you have no business having children. The kids always suffer from the choices of their dumb ass parents.

Who is the highest graded rookie receiver this preseason according to PFF? Marvin Harrison? Malik Nabers? Brock Bowers?
No. It's Bears Undrafted Free Agent Brendan Bates
Case for #Bears TE Brendan Bates to make the 53 man roster as TE4
SUMMARY ⬇️
1️⃣ Simply put, he was outstanding in the preseason on offense & special teams.
🔸 Ranked 3rd of 104 TEs with min 20% snaps in PFF rankings. Yes, his reps were against 2nd & 3rd stringers. But still.
🔸 Consistently good in all facets: Receiving, pass blocking, run blocking, special teams.
🔸 Led all #Bears in ST tackles with 4.
2️⃣ This means there’s a good chance he’d get swiped on his way to or off the practice squad
3️⃣ More than 1/3 of plays in Waldron offense use 2-3 TEs. Lewis isn’t a pass-catching TE.
4️⃣ Bates provides pass-catching & blocking depth who can contribute on ST.
THE DETAILED CASE ⬇️
———
ROSTER PROJECTION w/ BATES
➡️ RB (4) - Swift, Herbert, RoJo, Velus
➡️ FB (1) - Blasingame
➡️ TE (4) - Kmet, Everett, Lewis, Bates
➡️ WR (5) - DJ, Keenan, Rome, Scott, Carter
Homer doesn’t make the 53.
WHY NOT HOMER?
➡️ ST is his strength but…
🔸 Not great as rusher.
🔸 Pass catching taken care of between Swift & Rojo
🔸 Not as good of a pass blocker as RoJo
➡️ On ST, Flus talked about how with the new kickoff rule, the body type & position mix for some of the ST coverage team was changing. Length is more important.
➡️ ST reps can be picked up by others… including Bates.
➡️ SEA let Homer hit FA in 2023. Waldron & the ST coach for SEA moved on from him once before.
Note: Bears would be responsible for Homer’s salary - around $1.5M (not sure cap hit)
WHY BATES
✅ He had a great pre-season both on offense & contributions on ST.
✅ Waldron offense runs 12 + 13 personnel (which features 2 TE & 3 TE sets) over 1/3 of the time. He showed this in SEA & in preseason with the Bears.
✅ Despite his ability to catch an occasional unexpected pass, TE3 Marcedes Lewis’ role is as an ace run blocker & essentially a 6th OL member.
✅ Waldron will need Bates to back up Kent & Everett given heavy pass-catching TE usage
✅ My fear is Bates played too well in preseason not to be noticed & swiped if he is designated for the practice squad.
✅ Preseason stats were among best on #Bears offense & special teams - and consistently good in all areas.
➡️ Caught 6/7 - 85.7% of targets
➡️ 0 drops
➡️ 4 1st downs
➡️ YAC/Rec - 7.8 yds
➡️ ADOT - 10.3 yds
➡️ QB passer rating on targets to him 118.8
➡️ 4 ST tackles - most among all Bears
➡️ PFF grades
🔸 Overall - 85.8 (highest among all Bears TEs)
🔸 Receiving - 79.6 (3rd among Bears receivers)
🔸 Pass block - 77.0 (3rd among Bears non-OL)
🔸 Run block - 74.0 (1st among Bears non-OL)
🔸 Special teams - 75.3 (3rd highest on Bears)
