Junior Minister Pam Cameron has attended a Homicide, Coercive Control and Suicide Timeline conference, hosted by @ANBorough and funded through The Executive Office’s Ending Violence Against Women and Girls Momentum Fund, at Mossley Mill.
The Minister praised the contribution of keynote speaker Professor Jane Monckton Smith and stressed the importance of a whole of government and society approach to ensuring all women and girls here are safe and respected.
The First Minister and deputy First Minister are encouraging community organisations who want to help to end violence against women and girls to apply to the new Local Change Funds scheme.
The scheme, which has been developed in partnership with the Executive Office, will be rolled out across all councils over the coming weeks for funding for 2025-2026 programmes.
