A Valve employee says buying RAM has become much harder due to the ongoing memory shortage and rising demand from AI companies.
According to the employee, memory suppliers come to Valve once a month with a price and a set amount of RAM they can buy.
Valve either accepts the deal or passes on it. If the company says no, the suppliers usually don’t come back with another offer.
“Look, there’s no contracts. There’s nothing. Those guys… they give us a price every month or something and they say, ‘you can buy that many,’ and it’s yes or no. And if we say no, then they never talk to us again.”
The company says the current market has made hardware components much more expensive than usual.
Honestly the biggest issue i have with 3D Sonic fangames, is how all of them feel like they're meant for time attacking only.
These levels all play like they're designed for speedrunners, with hardly any normal platforming segments, even the Boost games have these.
Surprise! Enjoy a brand-new song from @Crush40's Jun Senoue, NateWantsToBattle, @TeeLopes, and Takahiro Kai created to celebrate 35 years of Sonic: "Speed is My Life."
the most important thing that people are missing about steam machines v2 is that proper steamos will be available to everyone. steam machines v1 happened because microsoft tried to monopolize and lock windows 8 with their store. so valve's initial idea was to create a free os for gamers. it failed at the time case proton wasn't good enough. any machine can be a steam machine and that's exactly what's happening now
Bro, tuve una etapa bien cabrona de J-pop y j-rock, el algoritmo me recomendaba más y más, y sabes por qué dejé de escucharlo? Porque cada vez que buscaba, me recibían con este precioso cartel
