RIP Maryland basketball’s winning season streak 1993-2021. This is the first losing season of my lifetime and it just feels weird and wrong. I don’t hope to see another one anytime soon, but that’s going to depend on who they hire. Make it a good one, Terps.

Mark Pope
Andy Enfield
Mike Boynton
Ryan Odom
Kevin Willard

@AndrewEmmer Mark Pope is the only one with a higher winning percentage than him before he was hired. Turgeon’s Texas A&M tenure was better than any of these guys. Willard’s four straight tourneys at Seton Hall is the closest but he has a career 56.2 win%. Turge was at 61.1% when he was hired

I understand this season was going downhill and divorce may have been inevitable at the end, but I hate this. Context matters and Gary was still a better coach, but Mark had a higher win% here. Bad coaches don’t have 19 straight winning seasons. Terps better nail the new hire.

@GI_Jayneee JD’s bat is definitely intriguing but -30 DRS in barely over a season of defensive innings is otherworldly bad. I don’t know much about the Mets system other than we’re not getting Alvarez. I’ve heard us linked to Vientos a bunch. And I’m just happy Duffy’s back at this point.
