Tyler Breeze has confirmed his WWE contract expired at the beginning of August.
Looking back, the former NXT Tag Team Champion believes he should have reached out to AEW when he was released by WWE in 2021, but he decided to remain with WWE on a jack-of-all-trades deal because of UpUpDownDown.
"My contract technically ended at the start of August. I was with WWE for 16 years. So I had a really cool deal. The deal that just ended in August, I was able to do WWE stuff, I was able to do independents, I was able to kind of do third-party stuff. I was able to do all this stuff. A one-of-a-kind deal that was never seen before and will never be seen again.
"Back in 2021 when they let me go, in reality, I should have gone or tried to go to AEW. I should have reached out and I should have tried to go there, but because of UpUpDownDown, I went, ‘You know what? I’m gonna stay for UpUp because I love UpUp.’ UpUp is one of those things where if I left to go wrestle, yes the wrestling would be cool but, man, I’m really having fun with my friends doing this other stuff. UpUp was a big thing for me where if it wasn’t for UpUp I would have already reached out to AEW and tried to go there.
"Now, as we’ve kind of been navigating this next part, I’ve said it several times and people say it almost like it’s a big surprise, but like, yeah, I’m open to AEW. I’m open to TNA, I’m open to Maple Leaf. Whatever’s out there that isn’t WWE, I’m open to it. I’m not done wrestling. I’ve been wanting to wrestle. I’ve been wrestling on the independents for the past five years. There was a couple of things that restricted me from wrestling on a TV company but now I have no restrictions. So yeah, I’m 100 per cent open to all of it."

Why is no one talking about how Jordan Walker hit a normal white ball on the last HR when it should’ve been a red ball which are clearly more difficult to hit? #rigged
@FDSportsbook walked used a white ball for his final home run giving him a clear advantage over Schwarber. U must investigate and void the bets for Schwarber
I feel like I'm going to cry. Cirie officially cements her legacy as the best player to never win. Top 4 player ever. It was an honor to watch her play Survivor again and play so well. But they couldn't let her go further. It was the right move but damn this suuucks #Survivor50
From the highlands of Tocantins to the sunny shores of Fiji, it’s been an incredible 17 years of experiencing The Dragonslayer. A truly larger than life tv character with a philosophical gem hidden behind every possible illusion. Beautifully one of a kind.

What an absolutely beautiful speech by Colby and now such a lovely moment. I have goosebumps all over. This is what I dreamed of on #Survivor50
Such a unique and cool/meta tribal council. Definitely redeems the episode
@AMikeBloomType not sure if anyone noticed this but as Mike is hugging Christian after being voted out there’s a slight nod to The White Lotus theme song within the music. Just a cool thing I found.
