Jim Morrison. Our Shaman, our Mr. Mojo Risin', our frontman, our American Poet.
Today, we remember Jim. A singular artist whose creativity knew no boundaries, his influence can still be felt through every generation of listeners who discover The Doors for the first time.
Through his music, poetry, and fearless pursuit of artistic expression, he challenged audiences to see the world differently. More than five decades later, his words continue to inspire, provoke, and resonate with those who find meaning in them.

INSTANT KARMA! (WE ALL SHINE ON)
John Lennon, Klaus Voormann (bass) and Alan White (drums) play 'Instant Karma! (We All Shine On)' on BBC's Top Of The Pops, while Yoko Ono performs, blindfolded by a woman's sanitary towel, holding up boards in John's handwriting that say BREATHE, SMILE, PEACE, LOVE and HOPE.
The stuff that legends are made of. Remember hearing this the first time and then over and over and over. Merry Clayton: amazing.
Is “Gimme Shelter” the Rolling Stones' greatest song?
The good old days. Phil Collins was 38 years old then, Eric Clapton was 6 years older, playing the guitar, it brings a tear to the eye.

When The Doors learned that Van Morrison’s band THEM would be joining the lineup during their residency at the Whisky a Go Go, they nervously pulled their cover of “Gloria” from the set list.
As the week went on and the bands got to know each other, “Gloria” made its way back into the lineup, ending with both bands joining together to perform it on the final night.
Some songs just have a way of finding their way back.
