@Code_Red_TV@visegrad24 Karaj is a critical hub for Iran’s missile manufacturingand nuclear centrifuge production, housing key facilities like the TESA workshop and the Defense Technology and Science Research Center.
The end of the war must be fair, and I am grateful to everyone who stands with Ukraine and our people today for the sake of peace in Ukraine, which is defending the vital security interests of our European nations.
Ukraine values and fully supports the statement by President Macron, Prime Minister Meloni, Chancellor Merz, Prime Minister Tusk, Prime Minister Starmer, President Ursula von der Leyen, and President Stubb on peace for Ukraine.

The new director of NIH (hired by HHS Secretary Kennedy) said in his role as NIH head on Bannon's podcast that mRNA is "not yet ready for prime time for vaccines" in response to Bannon's comment that FDA-approved mRNA vaccines are an "experimental gene therapy." See clip below:
Merkel cell carcinoma log, day #361 @Cigna has been giving my oncology team at @DanaFarber fits, refusing to cover my fourth Merkel cell carcinoma scan, marking the one-year anniversary of treatment. The scan is absolutely essential, as I've been unable - so far - to get a ctDNA test set up with the scanty tumor tissue available from my original biopsy. (I asked if I needed another biopsy in the beginning, but, hey, didn't happen.) So there's only one radar on recurrence now. Which is the big, big thing for @cancer patients responding (partial remission) to frontline treatment. Evidently, the fourth scan doesn't fit their guidelines, but it's SOP in Merkel cell, when you'd like to take another shot at it if/when frontline fails. So why don't you buy a clue, Cigna, and do what's right here. For all the millions of Americans with cancer who deal with private insurance.
Re MFN/Medicaid, hearing that this particular proposal will face strong opposition from House Republicans (government price controls represent the importation of socialized medicine/drug rationing). But having ex US countries free ride is also not going to fly so the industry must bring to the White House concrete alternative ideas & solutions to address the free riding issue $XBI $BBC
As people chew on MFN this am, it’s worth reminder about other significant US vs. EU healthcare cost differences.
Every system different. You cannot simply import foreign prices.
If we want to really lower prices for Americans, get rid of OOP costs!
Big Pharma has no problem committing billions to moving part of its manufacturing to the US to appease Trump, but they'll fight MFN pricing tooth and nail. I don't see Trump making it stick. But the new bomb throwing destabilizes the industry even more. Heckuva sorry excuse for "reform."
@Nature So very sad. Our giant engine of innovation is being dismantled and the fruits of 70 years of leadership thrown to the winds. China will cheer, Europe will smile and America will become dependent on other nations for the science and medicines we so depend on .
A trawl of job views and application data suggests jobseekers are looking abroad as the Trump administration’s cuts to science take hold.

The SAVE Act would block voting rights for up to 69 million women—just because they changed their names.
Mismatch a maiden name? No vote.
Can’t afford a $165 passport? Too bad.
This is not security—it’s targeted suppression.
Tell the Senate: VOTE NO.

President Trump’s tariff plan is the biggest break in American trade policy in over a century. It’s also one of the most profound and harmful mistakes of the modern era. Our economics editor, @currhenry, explains why it’s so utterly deluded https://t.co/lkGqejuVR0
