@uuujason@mjh609@runwildkian Hey Jason,
Longtime no talk, quick question. Is a 2.5 era good enough for you? Scott has been arguably our best starter do you think he’s still a depth arm? Just curious, have a good weekend!
Southampton NY isn’t the easiest place to get to so I might as well get this started early!

@ottowner@metsedinthehead@SNY_Mets They have years of data of fly balls? The average is the amount of outfielders that get to the ball from the same distance and time? There are limitations of defensive metrics but anyone with eyes can see he’s been the Mets best defensive OF. Who starts over him if he’s sent down
@ottowner@metsedinthehead@SNY_Mets Outs above average takes how far he needs to travel and the airtime of the ball. It uses previous statistics and compares how many plays he makes in comparison to the average. Not a perfect metric but he’s clearly been very solid in the outfield with the eye test as well
@ottowner@metsedinthehead@SNY_Mets Yes I watch the games, he’s made multiple great plays and gotten to basically all the balls he could have. He has a strong arm but I agree his throws have been offline. He’s hitting over .300 since his terrible start, guess you dont believe in guys adjusting to different levels
@DominickGaspar1@AnthonyDiComo That’s too smart for them. Why stick with what’s working when you can bring in two lefties that throw <95 back to back?
