@myluciddesign @BrianDu58132551 @DOBrienATL Needs more experience in AA/AAA. Started out hot but got benched last season after pitchers figured him out and he quit hitting. Defense was suspect as well at times. Too young and inexperienced. Braves can and should do better at SS.

[John Driskill @jmdriski]

@myluciddesign @BrianDu58132551 @DOBrienATL He’s just not ready to be the everyday SS for a World Series contending team.

[John Driskill @jmdriski]

@BrianDu58132551 @DOBrienATL I don’t disagree, but what Braves fans are forgetting I think is that we have no other viable option to play shortstop and do anything on offense at this point. Grissom, Arcia, Adrianza, and Hoy are not SS options!

[John Driskill @jmdriski]

@ClaybonShawn @stateofmalone @DOBrienATL I think 6 years for $150 is reasonable for both parties. If not, then DS can go to the Cubs or Dodgers.

[John Driskill @jmdriski]

@ClaybonShawn @stateofmalone @DOBrienATL Very true and I hope for the best but I don’t think we’re at a place to take chances. It’s a travesty that we lost to the Phillies in the division series. Phillies and Mets have spent a lot of money to make their teams better so we can’t take a chance on a 21 year old SS.

[John Driskill @jmdriski]

@ClaybonShawn @stateofmalone @DOBrienATL Very true however he hasn’t shown anything yet to give any confidence that he will be a consistent performer at the Major League level.

[John Driskill @jmdriski]

@DOBrienATL Dear Alex, Since I know you read twitter advice from life long Braves fans who have cared about this franchise for way longer than you have please go ahead and sign Dansby because we lost Freeman last year and can’t afford to lose another veteran leader in the clubhouse.

[John Driskill @jmdriski]

@HarrisonBecker7 @DOBrienATL 6 years for $150 if he wants to stay an Atlanta Brave!

[John Driskill @jmdriski]

@brandonshill @DOBrienATL Hopefully 0%. Grissom needs more time in AAA. Not ready for the Show. Not an option for a World Series contending team even if you bat him 9th because he can’t hit above .200. Need a better option at SS.

[John Driskill @jmdriski]

@DOBrienATL So encouraging to watch the Phillies keep getting better yesterday and today while golden boy Alex sits on his hands and does absolutely nothing!

[John Driskill @jmdriski]

@3YearLetterman @JeffPassan Braves won 1 World Series in the 90s and they just won 1 so they aren’t winning another one anytime soon with our sorry conservative lame executive of the year running this team!

[John Driskill @jmdriski]

What a joke. Did he win this award just because he sucked less than all of the other GMs?

[John Driskill @jmdriski]

@DOBrienATL And I’ll gladly admit that I am wrong if he gets off his ass and does anything else productive and value adding to the Braves this off-season other than Hilliard, Allard, Chavez, and the minor league Rays pitcher who I don’t have any idea what his name is.

[John Driskill @jmdriski]

@DOBrienATL Alex is awful. Anyone with common sense would have made the same trades and extensions that he has made. Too conservative and doesn’t take any chances or risks. Makes his millions and sits fat and happy at home with his family. Set for life because the Braves won 1 World Series.

[John Driskill @jmdriski]

@HarrisOwnsYall @nreeves1268 Lifelong Braves fan and not a racist bone in my body. Just objectively call it like I see it.

[John Driskill @jmdriski]

@DOBrienATL The executive of the year is too conservative and has done nothing this offseason & probably won’t do anything to help the Braves be in a position to compete next year. He won 1 World Series but has had opportunities to win others, but he didn’t make the moves he needed to make.

[John Driskill @jmdriski]

@DOBrienATL Generational talent who only cares about himself.

[John Driskill @jmdriski]

@nreeves1268 @DOBrienATL Respectfully, Why didn’t he have a monster 2022? What will be different about 2023? He is a selfish lazy generational talent.
