@Jankfessor_YGO Plenty of times I cannot win through X interactions, but the players don't apply them correctly, thats why I shouldn't have scooped immediately, the game isn't show your hand and hope they realize they are cooked, but now we are incetivized to take losses we shouldn't have to.
@Jankfessor_YGO And that maybe I should really focus on auto win strategies, the more interactions I have with my opponent, the more likely we will lose time "playing yugioh".
@Jankfessor_YGO In my experience, me and other experienced players, are already scooping as early as possible to prevent time to be the deciding factor. But it still happens because there's no clear winner. From my pov, what is happening is that we get punished for playing more yugioh
@Jankfessor_YGO When naturally long games with no clear winner happen, what should we do? Just take the loss even though I might have won? And what if my opponent doesn't scoop. If I win g1, should I just instantly scoop g2 to ensure a game 3 happens?
@TheDBGrinder If it enhances their performance then they are taking a substance because they aren't good enough without it. If it's treatment for something I don't mind.
@mini_feebas Certainly not tearlaments and not a shifter deck.
So it was indeed my fault to play yugioh but not buy the best deck or a counter to it. It's been the only time that I felt so miserable at locals and regionals for not playing tier 1 and I don't want it to come back.
@CoffeeXocolatl Plenty of decks play during both turns, very few play during the opponent's first turn, but only tears have consistently locked me out of the game when I went first. When I see people praising tearlaments format I wonder if this was just my experience.
@CoffeeXocolatl @Jennie_YGO I have extremely negative feelings towards runick stun decks which I believe most people agree with. In my experience, labrynth has only destroyed me during my own first turn once or twice a while back with EEV.
@JunoRomeGoddess@icemanchong@GG__YGO For some reason, negating the effect or the activation of the effect is protected by the field spell, only "changing the effect" gets through when it comes to affecting the effect
@HDL_2 Every other format we get one with lots of diversity where a lot of things are viable and it's usually really fun.
The pros hate them but those are my favorite.
@Sirstack_@PeepsYGO tear format was just the most miserable format ive ever played, there was no point playing anything else and no amount of handtraps could save you because you were getting combod out of the game on your own first turn by damn random mills
just an awful time to play ygo
