In the past year, we have awarded over 250 grants - amounting to £37,000 - to enable young people from financially disadvantaged backgrounds in our community gain the wide-ranging benefits from taking part in extra-curricular activities including sport, music and drama.

JMF awarded £200,000 in grants last year to help local young people access educational or career-related opportunities.

We were delighted to attend Sir John Lawes School's Careers Day to talk with students and teachers from a range of local schools about our grant funding to financially disadvantaged young people so they can access educational or career-related opportunities. @sirjohnlawes

YEAR 7 TRANSITION

Year 6 pupils now know their secondary school allocation - a very exciting, but also very expensive time!

JMF can provide grants towards uniform, technology and residential school trips for those in financial need, so please get in touch to see if we can help

Many young people are now considering their options following their Summer 2025 exams - such as 6th Form, college, university, an apprenticeship, training or full-time work. If you are concerned about the financial implications, JMF may be able to help, so please get in touch.
