Russian forces occupying the destroyed city of Bakhmut, eastern Ukraine, where I used to live posted a video this week. It shows the very city center in ruins.
I passed this central square every day for two years between 2010-12 and lived just in the building on the right. The square was filled with roses. The city used to bustle with people. After one of the longest and bloodiest battles of Russia’s invasion, it can’t sustain life.
