Did Grok get it right? This is a classic âmystery chartâ post from legendary trader Peter Brandt (author of Diary of a Professional Commodity Trader and a well-known chart-pattern specialist).
What the chart is
It is not a price chart of a stock or commodity.
It is a continuous line chart of the cumulative net non-commercial (speculator) position in a futures market â most likely the Commitment of Traders (COT) data for a major market (commonly gold, silver, crude oil, or the S&P 500 / Nasdaq futures, depending on the exact series).
The vertical scale runs from roughly +15,000 to â25,000 contracts, which is the typical range for large speculative net positions. The big spike near the left, the long sideways chop, and the sharp recent rise are classic features of these positioning series.
What Brandt is referring to
Brandt is pointing out that extreme swings in speculative positioning (especially when they reverse) have historically created some of the biggest trading opportunities.
When the net speculative position becomes extremely one-sided (very high or very low on this chart), the market is often set up for a sharp reversal once the crowded trade starts to unwind. Traders who watch the COT data and combine it with price action can position themselves for those moves.
In short:
⢠The chart = speculative positioning (COT net non-commercial)
⢠The opportunity = trading the reversals that tend to follow extreme positioning
Thatâs the âlots of money to be made if you know what it isâ punchline.
No les funcionĂł lo de musulman.
No les funcionĂł lo de drogadicto.
No les funcionĂł lo de Dictador.
No les funcionĂł lo de Miami.
No les funcionĂł la pitadera.
No les funcionĂł el Golpe de Estado.

Me pregunto, ÂżquĂŠ se inventarĂĄn ahora?
I really believe to live our purpose we must forgive our parents, younger self and EVERYONE whose wronged us.
Itâs sad to see this new trend of how we are all victims to our upbringing. Religion, parentsâŚ
Forgiveness isnât going back to the abuser.. itâs letting go of the emotional backpack we carry over our shoulders.
We give the same amount of energy to our abusers as we do a dump.
We donât wake up and complain about how much bacteria or rat infested a dump is. Even the places for garbage can hold gratitude.
We can learn from every single person whose entered into our lives in a damaging way. Thereâs not one mortal person on the planet today that didnât offend somebody deeply.
On another note we have over 45,000 strawberry plants giving fruit now in El Salvador. A business given to 10 local families. We and the help of ADDN have just created one of the LARGEST strawberry patches in this part of Central America.
These are also the fruits of forgiveness. I had to forgive a few people in Utah that really wronged me. If it wasnât for those people.. I never would of created this foundation.
I never would of brought my daughter into this world.
Pretty cool stuff.
For my first post, Iâm sharing a letter @NVIDIA signed on why open models matter.
AI will transform every industry, power every company, and be built by every country.
Open models strengthen safety and cybersecurity, accelerate innovation and diffusion, and enable sovereignty.
The world needs both frontier closed models and frontier open models.
