Trooper Technician Travis Randolph retires from the Colorado State Patrol after 25 years of serving the citizens of Colorado. It is admirable not only for his continued dedication but also because he is the last Trooper in our 90-year history to hold the rank of Technician. This rank was assigned to troopers with specific, specialized skills focused on traffic investigation and/or specialized field operations, such as the HAZMAT unit, where he served in his last assignment.

Watching the men’s hockey gold medal game today just re-emphasized how cool it would be if @MLB allowed big leaguers to play in the summer olympics in 2028. It might be an important step in recovering from whatever happens in 2027 (which is hopefully a mutual agreement and no work stoppage). I’d love to see the big league season pause and players compete for country. Baseball needs it. The fans need it. I think the players would love it. There’s nothing like playing while the crowd chants USA USA USA!

500 Days Sober.

Today marks 500 days without a drink. No meetings. No programs. No group therapy. Just me—doing the work, facing the hard truths, and taking full responsibility for my life.

Sobriety is deeply personal. Everyone has to take their own journey. For me, it wasn’t about steps or slogans—it was about deciding, every single day, that I wanted something better for myself. And holding myself accountable for it.

No one could do it for me. No amount of advice, encouragement, or support could make the change stick unless I was ready to own it—fully and honestly.

If you’re on your own path, know this: You have the strength. You can do it. But it starts with a decision—and that decision has to come from you. No one else.

It’s your journey and not anyone else. A group may be the way you want to start but always remember that you are in charge
