@SCMPNews 5. travelling in bigger groups. Anyone who has travelled in groups of 5 or 6 knows how much more convenient it is to call a bigger car instead of trying to get 2 taxis
@SCMPNews 4. Left articles. How many people have not left their phone / wallet / bag etc in a taxi. It's so much easier to trace a ride hailing car, almost impossible to retrieve it in a taxi.
@SCMPNews I wonder if we ask the taxi drivers who are trying to ban ride hailing apps if they are willing to give up their smart phone and go back to the push button mobile phone. Fortunately or unfortunately, times are changing and we have to roll with it
@SCMPNews IPerhaps HK should consider a service that: allows booking in any language (not everyone speaks Cantonese); displays a digital map to convince the customer that he is not unintentionally lost; have a fixed price and digital payment; provide a way for a party of 5 or 6 to travel
@SCMPNews for someone who does not have a good command of Cantonese, taxis are very challenging. How much more convenient to be able to enter the destination (in English), know the fare in advance, and even have a estimated time of arrival.
@SCMPNews perhaps gov could explain how to dispose of items that should be disposed immediately and not kept to wait for the bag to be filled eg child and adult diapers, dog poo, waste from illness - tissues, masks, the wrapper of that raw fish or meat..
@SCMPNews Interesting that the network that was cut off was PCCW (and others?) while 3 was working perfectly. Perhaps the networks could cooperate in disaster situations and open the channels to everyone.
