If a salaried person wants to build a software application or digital services agency, the entry barrier is virtually zero.
They just need a laptop and an internet connection.
But if the same person wants to start manufacturing...
They need:
• Land
• Factory space
• Expensive machinery
• 6-12 months of approvals
• Huge upfront capital
My suggestion to the Government of India:
Build Manufacturing Parks for first-time entrepreneurs.
Instead of selling 10-acre plots, create buildings with 500-1,000 sq. ft. ready-to-use factory units.
Every unit should come with:
• 3-phase electricity already connected
• Pollution & fire approvals already cleared
• Shared CNC machines, injection moulding, testing labs & warehouses
• Common logistics and loading docks
• Month-to-month rentals instead of land purchases
• Single online portal to book a unit within 7 days
Let engineers keep their jobs while testing manufacturing on a small scale.
We built co-working spaces for software.
It's time we built co-factories for manufacturing.

International crude prices have gone through the roof in the last 1 month from around 70 dollars/barrel to around 122 dollars/barrel. Consequently, petrol and diesel prices for consumers have gone up all over the world. Prices have increased by around 30%-50% in South East Asian countries, 30% in North American countries, 20% in Europe and 50% in African countries.
The Modi Government had two choices- either increase prices drastically for citizens of Bharat as all other nations have done or bear the brunt on its finances so that Indian citizen is insulated from international volatility.
Hon’ble Prime Minister @narendramodi Ji, in keeping with his Government’s commitment of last 4 years since the conflict in Russia-Ukraine started, decided to take a hit on its own finances again to safeguard the Indian citizen.
Government has taken a huge hit on it taxation revenues to ensure very high losses of oil companies (approximately 24 Rs/litre for petrol and 30 Rs/litre for diesel) at this time of sky high international prices are reduced. At the same time, export tax has been levied as international prices of petrol and diesel have skyrocketed and any refinery exporting to foreign nations will have to pay export tax. My gratitude to Hon’ble PM Narendra Modi Ji and Hon’ble FM @nsitharaman Ji for this very timely, bold and visionary decision!

There is one health advice you will never hear from anyone. You can go to gym and build muscles, you can train to run and become a marathoner , you can get your 4ltr of water everyday, you can get your 7hrs of sleep , you can get all the superfoods and supplements.
But if you don’t learn to deal the chaos in your head and bullshit people around you, you’re still going to be unhealthy.
You can’t change the people around you. But you can change the people around you.
Ignoring some people for your mental health is not a weakness. It is your superpower.

In the times of shrinking forests and quick-fix plantation drives, a small community at the Gurukula Botanical Sanctuary is doing something truly special.
For the last 44 years, this small group of "gardeners in service to forests" has been patiently nurturing a part of the Western Ghats, bringing degraded lands back to life. What they have achieved is mind-boggling.
They have managed to grow and propagate over 2000 native plant species. To put this in perspective, growing even one wild plant species is extremely difficult. These aren't plants you see in a nursery, almost no one else in the world has done this at their 80-acre scale.
It has become one of the few places that is a real training ground for restoration, with over 5000 people visiting each year, including some of India’s top experts.
They plant species on trees (epiphytes, as shown in the second picture) that literally help create localised rain, which in turn feeds our rivers and aquifers.
What I understood was that there’s no rushing a forest back to life. It requires immense knowledge, patience, and being in it for the long haul.
We partnered with them through @RainmatterOrg last year to support the School of Ecological Nurturance and expand their conservation and education efforts.
The kind of work that is easy to miss but is exactly what we need.
