Cowboys DC Christian Parker on Caleb Downs: “He’s as advertised. We spent significant time with him before the draft process, so we had a good feel on who he was and knew some people at Ohio State, at Alabama, in terms of how he was on the day to day that we maybe didn’t see in that 30-visit or at the combine.
“But he’s been doing great. He’s a worker. He looks for coaching. He craves that. He wants to be corrected. He wants more information. And he works as hard as he can with the extras and everything else. So it’s been good. He’s been good to work with, and I think that he’s trying to advance at the right rate.
“I think that we try to lessen those expectations in terms of what goes on outside of these walls. There’s a certain process to take as a rookie in general in the National Football League, and we try to abide by that process.”
@ButterAubrey Much better than last year from a talent standpoint. My hope is that Badham can be a full time starting Mike by seasons end and Overshown stays healthy and reaches his potential. Winters will probably be a starter week 1 if I had to guess.
Osi Umenyiora played against the Tony Romo Dallas Cowboys, so I was curious for his thoughts on Romo overall.
He called him the best quarterback that they ever faced in that time. He was very specific that he was the best.
Some high praise.
