@Underwood_szn You mean UM NEEDED good OH players to stay near tOSU. Bo/Lloyd knew. Some good ones did go. I’d add Dierdorf, Darden, Mandich, Taylor on the ‘69 team who pulled off the most important win in program history. If they’d gotten the best the record since ‘68 wouldn’t be 29-25-2 Bucks
@vol_equalizer You keep emphasizing ‘blue blood’ & TN being synonymous. Hm. All time wins-11th. Very good. 11th in win %. 16 league titles (tied for 35th; 4th in SEC). 8th in bowl wins. 6 claimed natl titles (10th). All good stats, none = blue blood. For accuracy sake, might want to drop that.
@upfootball@Underwood_szn I wouldn’t go so far as the 90’s. But definitely true in 91, 93 and especially this one in 95. All you have to do is see that tosu’s db’s made 35 tackles. Tells you what your o-line was doing to our front-7. And yet, this game was still just 17-15 entering the 4th. TimB-unreal.
@vol_equalizer Eddie had a horrible game and yet still had 100+ yds and a td in a soaking all day rain. Not sure how that’s a ‘whoping’ whatever that is. Tenn was 6 pts better, and the Nikes I had on at the game still aren’t dry yet.
@BuckeyeNatty Imho tosu’s biggest loss/challenge is the incredible depth of NFL talent that’s exited the program the last 2 yrs combined. It is very difficult staying on an elite level y-o-y. Doing it again in’26 should earn Day even more respect
@D3TRO1TJOK3R Meyer’s biggest issues were at UF, where many of his players were out of control. Behavior issues at tosu were virtually non-existent in terms of players, to his credit. But he mishandled the situation w/his ass’t coach, and the Jags proved he was a college coach, not NFL coach.
@Suzierizzo1 Carson has to be #1. His fave, btw was Letterman who’s #2 (but my fave since watching his am show my sr yr in college). Colbert next, then Conan. Never saw Paar live but he’s next due to inventing the role. Thought Ferguson was pretty unique/good.
@woodyVSworld bro in law & I were there. toughest loss I’ve ever seen in person due to how good that ‘19 team was. Outgained CU by 100 yds. Had to settle for red zone fg’s, a tough tough call on the fumble td reversal, great last drive only for Olave to cut off his route w/pass in air. Ugh
@swankywolverine um math gets pretty shifty. osu goes 3-1 in baseball outscoring um 28-9 in ‘26 yet is ‘owned.’ Bucks are 108-87 all time in men’s hoops, 13-7 all time in men’s lacrosse. ‘tho I guess by your rationale um is now owned in cfb. lol
@Underwood_szn Right. nothing to do w/mccord not reading he’d already jumped the route before the pass. Btw next series mh2 beat will 1x1 for a 25 yd catch setting up a fg. mh2 then beat him + his pi 1x1 for 45 yds in q2. beat him again 1x1 for 12 in q3. 3 rcp, 82 yds. That = ‘son?’ lmao
@Michigander1212 So he loses parental rights, privileges, once in a lifetime experiences w/a child due to his job? Punishes the kid as well? C’mon. Lighten up Francis. ;)
@mark_scott_04@CFBTalkDaily As a fellow MS, have to disagree on Eugene. Saw tosu play uo there 2 yrs ago; great atmosphere, not a bad seat in the house.
@Underwood_szn Lmao. tosu outgained um in ‘23. There’s no fan base that awards itself subjective ‘best ever’ awards than you guys. Off the top of my head, ‘15, ‘14, ‘05, ‘98 of terms of recent teams come to mind. ‘02 bucks vs ‘23 um would be interesting.
@canesfan1111@DylanEveryday Afford grass? Yes. Can it grow properly inside the stadium? Not since ‘99/‘00 when renovations dropped field level by 17’, added 20 rows to C deck (upper level) + larger south stands/scoreboard. Not enough fall daytime sun hits the field. Had grass field then; didn’t grow right
@DylanEveryday Uh, lights? The ‘shoe has lights. Personally I’d love to see tosu raise row 2 of the B-bx level by a step or 2. ;). Turf? Agreed. Facility? You talking stadium/Woody/bith?
