Fellow panelist Jamie 真理恵 Stroble @jmstroble was called to action by her lived experience in Hawai’i.
"I developed a strong connection to both land and water, and so much of this conversation about environmental justice and racism is about our connection to land."
@jmstroble: "There is a correlation between those areas that were historically redlined are the same places that are also experiencing extreme heat. Decisions that were made are still impacting us today, and these areas tend to be where most POC, refugees and immigrants live."
Thanks to our great #StandAgainstRacism panelists Jamie 真理恵 Stroble and Hannah Wilson, moderator Sally Jewell, and host Amelia Ransom, YWCA Board Chair-Elect!
We'll be sure to share a recording of the event in the near future so stay tuned. (1/2)

This shows the most impactful weather for each time, not necessarily the most likely. In other words, snow may be more likely than freezing rain in some of those pink boxes, but pink is shown since it has a higher impact. #wawx
Leaving the @AdaptationForum with full heart, after a reunion with so many inspiring people working to insure our communities adapt and thrive in the face of #climatechange.

It's important to clean your indoor air during the current smoke event that we're having in the Pacific Northwest. If you're looking for a low-cost option consider making a box fan filter. They're easy to put together and very effective. https://t.co/4yycHaA9hH
When it’s hazy or smoky out:
✔️Follow @pscleanair for updates on local air quality conditions
