When we begin with the mindset that our goal for student success includes all students, we can do amazing things without relying on sending “special” students to “special” places to learn. https://t.co/ttRy7BYwrl via @InclusionOne#ThinkInclusive#InclusionMatters
@jmtownse I started a jar called “I wish my teacher knew” that students can put anything into, as long as they put their name on it. It reminds me to take a minute to reach out to every student that has something in there! It’s been eye opening!
A2: My classroom volunteer and I eat lunch with a few of our students daily. This allows us to have conversations with them and build relationships. My volunteer also speaks Spanish and often translates for my ELL students during lessons to increase understanding. #sunrisechat4
@Kmmorley107 In order to ensure that all students have equal opportunity to work through grade level academic standards I provide choice of engagement, representation, and expression. In addition I make sure to set my expectations high. #sunrisechat4
@Kmmorley107 A1: VCS grade level modules allow me to teach my students in VE Mild the same whole group lessons they would receive in the gen ed setting. I provide accommodations, modified pacing, and scaffold levels of support to meet their learning needs.
