@USFBullsTboned Hope so!
While I love opportunities for G6’s to get their chance, these power conferences are getting completely absurd. Need to find a way to restore the conference balance from 20 years ago while adapting to modern times! 😂
@USFBullsTboned So if the ACC loses the top 4, and a handful of the middle of the conference, given how bad the bottom of the conference is, do we fall to a P3?
@FlyersfanLGF@akmJ0990@JimmyTheHawk13@USFBullsTboned I could be wrong, but I feel like any potential realignment starts with FSU and Miami. That ACC buyout is flat out absurd until 29 or 30. Things could happen before, but I feel like I’d be more surprised if the first pieces to fall were elsewhere.
@ORSTFB1@JMUGameday Would imagine the graphic has a minimum of 500 alumni to list. JMU estimates to have 170k living alumni. The school has consistently grown in last decade or two, but historically was a smaller school.
Given the math, would say those areas don’t come close to 500 living alumni.
@TuLaLaBibig@KcSmurthwaite JMU still may be highest, but everyone understands that VA legislation requires explicit disclosure on this figures, while most states don’t, right? In VA, they can’t blend these into other allocations. Do people think it’s just random that 5 of the top 10 schools are from VA?
@appfan0234@PeteThamel I don’t understand this talking point.
It’s a very public number, and JMU has increasing applications annually. Why does everyone act like students don’t know this?
@jmufbandstuff@gasotruther Correct. But there is approximately a 1% chance of a 12-0 JMU being the highest ranked G6 after teams get to play conference championships. It would take absolute mayhem.
@candlertjordan@gasotruther “Somehow finds its way” is pretty clear I don’t think it’s happening.
They are currently the second highest rated G6, to say it’s out of the picture completely is top tier hating😂
@THE1DAW No I mean the CFP meetings this year. When they met with the P4, they also invited the commissioners of the PAC 12 and American to the meetings.
BREAKING | The American Conference announced today that James Madison University has been admitted as a full member of the conference, with competition to begin no later than July 1, 2028.

The Sun Belt is losing its top program to the American Conference.
In talks with donors at JMU, the President & AD are in alignment on advancing athletics — most SBC schools have not shared the “athletics as the front porch of the university” vision. This was bound to happen.
