I feel exactly the same. The only way Trump gets back in this is if the Harris/Walz campaign and the people supporting it take their foot off the gas. Complacency is Trump’s only hope.

But that’s not going to happen. The Democrats remember 2016, and it still gives them nightmares. And they, along with the rest of a rapidly growing coalition—the “coalition of the decent,” as @esglaude has nicely put it—just survived what felt like a political near-death experience.

That accounts for the outpouring of joy and exuberance we see in support of the Vice President—as well as the coalition’s unparalleled determination to rid the nation of the sorry and embarrassing spectacle of Trumpism once and for all.

Stephen A. Smith and Shannon Sharp are really walking down Black women on a daily basis on behalf of Caitlin Clark, and they’re LITERALLY saying that they’re doing it because she’s a marketable white woman.

They’re literally doing the thing that Black women accuse Black men of on a daily. They’re doing the “mansplaining” and “misogynoir” thing for the world to witness. They’re putting Caitlin Clark in conversation with being Michael Jordan level important to the Dream Team, while simultaneously saying her not being on the women’s Olympic roster is as egregious as Isiah Lord Thomas.

This shit is wild. Especially considering the fact that Clark isn’t even playing that well to start her WNBA career.
