So in recent news regarding disconnect penalties, It would seem that the penalty applies to both Player and Ranked match.

If one player plugs, both players are affected by the penalty. Regardless if it is Ranked or Player Match.

I'd advise you all to stay off the game for now.

@holyknee The pros or the old players now do not matter in Tekken 8. Only sales matter! So yes, I have already decided to go with the VF whenever it comes, where fundamentals and play-with-brain DO matter. After giving only 26 years to Tekken alone :'(

@BuffGigas Tekken 5/DR is the Perfect Tekken.. Tekken now is too far gone, don't know how they will ever go back to that middle ground of serious martial arts with a little bit of goofiness... since Tekken 7 everything got all over the place and it got even worse with tekken 8

My main issue with Clive/guest characters is that they appeal mostly to a casual audience that will pick up Tekken for 2 weeks, realize the game is hard, fall off, and then the rest of the community has to tolerate Clive's anime over the top moveset for 7 years to come
