@TheTunnel_Texas Tech didn't pay the lawyer. Bitch about the terrible case the NCAA presented. Other S hoops have players kill people, play all year, and win a national championship
Supposed to land in Dallas 25 minutes ago, but we've been circling in the middle of nowhere for 30 minutes waiting on a line of thunderstorms that hasn't hit. Now we're low on fuel and diverting to San Antonio. Thanks again, @south
In 2003, America was focused on a murder - and secret plan to frame the victim - involving Baylor Basketball.
The killer is now paroled. The family still seeks answers. And the whistleblower coach found a new career of integrity as a prison warden.

@WinterSportsLaw Texas Tech doing what the SEC and B10 have done for decades, and suddenly everyone is up in arms. I guess more softball programs need an ex-player who is a billionaire.
It will never not be amazing to me how people have so much to say about Lubbock but never a word about
Athens
Tuscaloosa
Stillwater
Waco
Oxford
College Station
And about 1000 other college towns.
@KyleHunt0783@christymelot@justfactsmaam You're forgetting that OU spends 3X the money (outside of NIL) on softball that Tech does. So sorry, you can't play the game as it stands now.
Other schools want to play the "you're paying a player $1MM!" card.
Here is how much each of the remaining schools spends on softball outside of NIL (2023 was the most recent I could find):
OU: $6,580,000/yr
UT: $4,100,000/yr
Texas: $3,420,000/yr
TTU: $2,390,000/yr
They do not get to cry about a big NIL deal.
