i probably won’t be able to go to japan for the pokemon go wild area event 😞 work happened. just too bad because i’ve always wanted to see the tohoku region, and it’s probably beautiful during the autumn season. i do prefer the japanese rural areas than major cities like tokyo, where i could bike. it’s scary to go biking in tokyo as there’s always a lot of people.

Hello, I’m so sorry to intrude, but my name is Jen and I live here in Metro Manila. I would just like to suggest that whenever you are buying from street kiosks or vendors, please always try to negotiate the price. Try to have it reduced by P100 first, then P50, if the vendor refuses, try to leave, tell them “okay, let me go to the other vendors first,” then they’ll give in. Because the vendors jack up the price even to us locals expecting that people would negotiate/haggle for a lower price anyway. If people don’t negotiate, then it’s a lucky day for them.

But your story of the auntie who whacked that vendor for upping the price is pretty awesome.🩷

the one school field trip i couldn't forget as a child was a trip to a philippine eagle conservation center, it was simply amazing to see these magnificent birds. it's like looking at a real-life mythical pokemon. and i think the philippine eagle is the best looking among all the types of eagles because it has rockstar hair.

RESCUED AND RECOVERING 🦅

The Philippine eagle rescued in Bukidnon is now showing signs of recovery, the Philippine Eagle Foundation (PEF) said on Wednesday.

The eagle, Sawaga-Dalwangan, which was estimated to be a young adult female, was found by a local farmer along the Cabanbangan-Sawaga River in Barangay Dalwangan, Malaybalay City last July 3.

last month, during a trip to tokyo, i was able to try meiji takenoko no sato and it tastes better than kinoko no yama. unfortunately, only kinoko no yama is available in the philippines, or is it just local stores run out of takenoko no sato quickly because people prefer them?

i forgot to try takenoko no sato sundae in tokyo’s mcdonald’s stores though, i’m angry with myself for that.

i’m not asking for less coverage on other sports, less courts/playing areas for other sports, i just wish there is a free broadcast of alex eala’s games on our local channels. because her wimby match last night is massive and filipinos deserve to see it for free. that kind of effort deserves more eyeballs, malay n’yo may batang babae sa tondo who’d be inspired to pick up a racquet because of it and could be the next serena williams.

her horizontal forehand is all over international news channels and has probably erased visuals of a certain senator who also went horizontal running away from justice.

i just turned off streaming. nagma-migraine na ako sa stress.

but it’s glorious to see that eala can now hang around with the very best– in wimbledon, a full centre court crowd. she is matching swiatek’s game, and has broken her twice. she’s just overcooking her shots, not because of nerves, but because of gigil. she’s just 21, i think she’s going to win wimbledon someday. #wimbledon

it’s always so comforting to hear utada hikaru’s voice when a japanese film’s credits starts to roll. because i was busy with pokemon things when i was in tokyo, i missed going to her ginza exhibit. i’ll probably just fight tooth and nail to get a ticket the next time she goes on a world tour.
