If you find yourself eating in your dreams, do not become anxious. If you experience intimate relations in a dream, do not panic. In many cases, such dreams are simply ordinary experiences connected to the natural functions of the human mind and body during sleep.
At times, disturbing dreams may also be influenced by Shayṭān, as the Prophet (ṣallāLlāhu 'alayhi wa sallam) taught that some dreams can be a source of distress and fear. However, a believer should not allow such experiences to create unnecessary anxiety or obsession. Whether a dream is natural or a form of disturbance, the proper response is the same: place your trust in Allah, seek His protection, and remain firm upon the teachings of the Sunnah.
Consistency in remembrance of Allah, recitation of the Qur'ān, and adherence to the prophetic supplications before sleep strengthen the believer spiritually and provide peace of mind. With Allah's permission, fear and distress will diminish, and the person will remain balanced and protected.
A believer must be careful not to allow fear to dominate the heart. Excessive fear can make a person vulnerable to superstition, fortune-telling, claims of unseen knowledge, magic, and other practices that Islam warns against. Shayṭān seeks to weaken the believer through fear and confusion, but Allah has given His servants guidance, protection, and reliance upon Him.
Therefore, do not be consumed by dreams. Take the means taught by Islam, trust Allah, and continue your life with faith, confidence, and tranquillity.

A Daughter Is Not a Burden
She Is an Honour from Allah
One of the greatest tragedies of pre-Islamic ignorance was the belief that having daughters was a source of shame. Islam came to destroy that mindset forever.
Allah says: "To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. He creates whatever He wills. He grants female children to whom He wills, and He grants male children to whom He wills." (Qur'an 42:49)
Notice that Allah mentions female children before male children—a subtle yet profound honour that reminds us that daughters are not second-class gifts; they are divine blessings.
The Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ transformed the way humanity viewed girls. He taught that raising daughters with love, dignity, faith, and good character is not a burden, it is a pathway to Paradise.
He said: "Whoever raises two daughters until they reach maturity will be with me on the Day of Resurrection like these two," and he joined his fingers together.
He also said: "Whoever treats his daughters well, they will be a shield for him from the Fire."
A daughter is not a financial liability. She is not a disappointment. She is not "less than" a son.
She is someone's future mother. She is a future teacher. She is a future scholar. She is a future leader. She is a future nurturer of generations.
When you educate a daughter, you educate a family. When you honour a daughter, you strengthen a society. When you protect a daughter, you preserve the future of the Ummah.
Parents, your daughters are an amānah (trust) from Allah. Give them beautiful names. Teach them the Qur'an. Invest in their education. Protect their dignity. Listen to them. Encourage their aspirations. Never make them feel unwanted because they were born female.
To every father: love your daughter openly.
To every mother: raise your daughter with confidence and taqwā.
To every community: honour your daughters before asking Allah to bless your future.
A society that honours its daughters honours itself.
May Allah protect our daughters, increase them in knowledge, faith, modesty, confidence, and righteousness, and make them among the women of Jannah. Āmīn.
Islam obligates a husband to provide for his wife and children according to his means. That responsibility is indeed his. However, Islam does not teach entitlement, selfishness, or a lack of cooperation within marriage.
If a wife chooses to contribute towards school fees, feeding, accommodation, or other family needs, that is an act of charity, kindness, and partnership for which she is rewarded by Allah. The Mothers of the Believers and many righteous Muslim women throughout history supported their families financially when needed.
Saying, "My money is my money, but his money is for all of us," may be legally correct in a narrow fiqh sense, but marriage is built on more than legal rights. It is built on mercy, sacrifice, love, and mutual support.
A successful Muslim home is not one where spouses constantly calculate what they can withhold from each other. It is one where each spouse asks: "How can I help lighten the burden of the other?"
Rights are important, but excellence (iḥsān) is even greater. The strongest marriages are sustained not merely by what is obligatory, but by what is willingly given for the sake of Allah.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said Allah is more pleased with the tawbah (repentance) of His servant than a man in the desert who lost his camel carrying all his food and drink. The man lay down to die, then opened his eyes and found the camel standing right next to him (Sahih al-Bukhari 6309, Sahih Muslim 2747). Return to Him tonight. He has been waiting.
The terror of the Day of Judgment is described in the Quran in ways that make the heart tremble. A day when mountains move. When the sky splits. When every secret is exposed. And Allah says that the person who arrives with a single good deed will be safe from that terror. SubhanAllah. Not a lifetime of perfection. One sincere good deed. That small thing you were about to skip today. Do it. You cannot see its weight yet. But the scale on that Day will show you everything.
Finally, she tried to use the Bible to say Jesus pointed to himself as the way. However, the Quran tells us what Jesus preached. In Surah Az-Zukhruf verses 63 and 64, when Jesus came with clear proofs, he said fear Allah and obey me, indeed Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him, this is a straight path. Every prophet told their people to obey them because obeying the prophet of your time is the only way to obey God.
She abandoned Islam because she read the Quran through the lens of another religion and failed to understand basic Arabic context.
Surah Al-Ikhlas settles all of this in four short verses. Say, He is Allah, the One. Allah, the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is born. And there is nothing comparable to Him.
To Muslims out there, don't fret. You are on the right path. As long as I am living, when I see takes like this, I will always refute it.
The scholars say that the sign of an accepted Ramadan is not how you felt during it, but how you live after it. If your Fajr (dawn prayer) dies on the first day of Shawwal, if your Qur'an gathers dust again, if your character reverts to what it was before - then ask yourself: did Ramadan really change you, or did you just go through the motions?
@kedcoplc I purchased electricity units because the name displayed on the platform was mine. However, I was later told the units couldn’t be loaded because the meter was “not activated.” This is confusing and unacceptable. How does a non-activated meter display my name?
Nothing destroys a man more than his lust. The lust for power. The lust for fame. The lust for wealth. The lust for sexual gratification. In all of these, death hovers above while he foolishly and ignorantly schemes for worldly pleasure.
The Northern Nigeria is bleeding. Life has been reduced to nothingness. We pray our leaders consciously realize the importance of deploying all resources available to restore peace in this region and the country as a whole. It takes courage to be selfless in the defense of lives.
