To my girls: During an election, do your research and consider voting out the judges to reduce hidden corruption. We typically don’t know the judges on our ballot and just vote ‘yes’ to keep the status quo. Incumbents aren’t always best. Do your research, it’s there.
To my girls: I am sad for your generation jobs are still remote. 13/10 in LI for creative jobs, not sure overall. As a design principal, our firm proved that in-person collaboration produced better work, more career growth and workday enjoyment! #avoidremotework
@NYCMayor@ZohranKMamdani SUMMER jobs. SUMMER camps. SUMMER school. Those 3 will manage by far the majority of your needs. And in only 8 weeks. Then do it again next SUMMER. And the next. And the next.
8 weeks a year for young people. Not 52 weeks a year for adult jobs. Give it a try. Worked for decades.
@PeterSGreenberg@tunkuv@AmericanExpress After years of platinum, I’ve gone totally rogue and UPGRADED to the simple vintage green standard card. My biz loves it.
2/This is COURAGE to your dad and I. And to most people who are productive, wise and genuine. I just want to make sure you know this about us.
Credit to WSJ and Ben Cohen.
1/To my girls: there was once a great a man named Jim Moylan who invented the arrow on your gas gauge. With a rough economy and a layoff he didn’t sue, protest or blame others. Rather, he courageously ‘picked up work’ to make ends meet and returned to Ford & retired successfully.
@mariashriver@TheAmyMaxey The older I get the more I realize my actions are a response to another’s acts. I honestly have no opinion on this subject and I’m a swing voter, not a party line voter as many in this country. And swing voters truly see that acts FROM BOTH SIDES bring responses FROM BOTH SIDES.
@WSJ When behavioral health evolves like physical health, and encourages a health buddy to accompany the patient to be a second set of ears, to advocate and support, only then will we be able to improve behavioral health treatments.
To my girls: I hope you support the First Amendment and free speech your entire lives. And more importantly, I hope you follow the mom rule of “Just because you can, doesn’t always mean you should” for less talk helps you hear more.
@indgop You’re showing your bias and narrow perspective toward a FORM of media. Print has a powerful opportunity that digital cannot replace, and I just expected a more weighted and intellectual response from the Indiana GOP.
@sagesteele 3/ or gaslight issues once published. For print version’s 1M cost, ask your own amazing Kelley students to find a solution to fund the print version. I’m encouraging IU to be conservative in its decision to abolish the print version & asking a trustee to address it.
