Most residents watch the news or read the newspapers most of the day. If you send them a care package, send them things that are good for the mind and distressing. Coloring, Books, Audiobooks, Sudoku, yarn (if they crochet). SNACKS! And of course all things we all love❤️

If you have family in nursing homes, assisted living, mem care, or any place that you are unable to visit loved ones on a regular basis- send them letters, call them, send them gifts- anything to let them know you think about them and love them. They miss you.

Write to the extended family, the friends of family, the lady who used to be your neighbor. Explain who you are and what you are doing with your life. They love that.(They almost always ask if you have a significant other or if you’re married). Print out some pics too if you can
