@space_univrs@JackPosobiec That's a shallow reading of Aquinas, who specifically in Ordo Caritatis, his commentary on Augustine's Ordo Amoris, says the responsibility of a Christian is to love and serve a stranger in great need OVER one's own father when not in need. The US is not needy.
@Jesus4AllAlways@JackPosobiec Odd, that's completely different from how Jesus orders them, setting mother against daughter, etc. and let's not forget, "If you love those who love you, what reward will you get?" Jesus calls on us to be better than that.
@NancyRPearcey@JackPosobiec That's a very shallow reading of Ordo Amoris. Aquinas points out that it is not so simple as concentric circles and even gives the example of the responsibility of a Christian to love and aid a stranger in need OVER one's own father whose is not in need.
@JackPosobiec Wow, 'Thank God we're now doing it the way the Russians and Chinese governments do it.' That's a far cry from the historical greatness of the US when the US was a leader. This is praising being a follower, and a follower of some very questionable nations.
I just learned about a TwiXter thing (ya, I missed it)...

@JeremyECrawford Just for clarity, can you cast a spell with a bonus action and the then use the Ready an Action to prepare a spell with a casting time of 1 action later in the same round?
@gnomedepot Beneficial power - distracts enemies for 1d4 rounds in combat granting advantage. Curse - when you crit while gaining advantage from it, the slinky develops a twist and the user is compelled to use their action to repair it for 1d6 rounds. (or saves)
@Noonish_ "Kakaik Mishomis Shosheman" (Hawk Moon Snowglider) in Ojibwe or Cherokee (named in large part after some of my many great grandparents) was also called "Mishomis" or are worst, "Shomis." Our cat, "Lilah" is always "Lilah" or "kitty," Cat "Serena" was always "Serena," so........
@Shawnihensler Prayers for you. Finding the right community is tough. Not knowing more, it's hard to advise except to say, make sure you're meeting them part way. A perfect church would be a broken church - it has no room for broken people. "It is not the healthy who need a doctor."....
