@nickmetreveli Not really no. He had another role later on. When you don't do dribbles all the time, or play exactly on the wing, it's normal to start losing some skills. It's the same Mbappe thing on why he can't play LW in 2026. Ang again, there was a big "coincidence" there
@Davis_the_chill@TalkinMadrid Have u actually been watching the team for the past 10 years? What was the main system in 16/17, 17/18, 21/22, 23/24? Variations of the 442, even though we had a striker, Benzema, and a RW, Rodrygo. The 442 will genuinely work better against big teams but 3 attackers for the rest
@KaixerT8 Yeah sure, he's gonna break his legs after 3 training sessions while having played 4,500 minutes last year in a friendly. Some of you guys really haven't touched grass in your whole existence, have you?
@Davis_the_chill@TalkinMadrid I specifically mentioned against good and world-class teams because if you take a closer look at it, the 442 has been our main system in our biggest successes, especially against these "big" teams. 4231 and 433 are more useful against low-blocks. At least, this is what has worked
@nickmetreveli You're absolutely right. Most people really forget why the 23/24 defense worked, because you can't say Nacho, a one-legged Mendy were the best itw. It was a team effort starting from the attack and by not leaving much space in the midfield. We still need someone like Bastoni tho
@Davis_the_chill@TalkinMadrid Depends. Fede can play as a b2b easily, but he's better as a RM/RW. Also, the 4231 is better with Fede as a RM/RW against good & world-class teams with a variation of 442. We've had better games like that. Against low-block teams, Diomande should be the option
@MadridGoats@Ike_gyms Exactly what I've been saying about him. He plays at Palace, a team that plays counter-attacking football. If you can beat the press in the most intense league, you can break it anywhere. He's more direct than typical "tempo" controllers, but learning comes with age.
@Rtotalreal That only works in box-to-box football which might be more relevant against some big UCL teams. It doesn't work in La Liga with 80% low-block fuckers
@Madridpulse0 If the numbers work? The numbers never work for Floper. He actually thinks it's still 2009 where you buy midfielders for 40M, but the next day won't have a problem in dropping 140M for a flash one-season wonder from Germany.
@andruchk I didnโt say that the team didnโt have any other problems. But itโs hard to be considered a team with no CBs or creative midfielders. Circus is a word more relevant to RM rather than โteamโ. But Iโm gonna debate a cunt that uses words like โret4rdedโ or โimbecileโ
@andruchk At least when you say it, say it straight, not like a cunt. Also, if fixing player โdramaโ was the problem why have we made 6 signings so far?
@ChangKhan_ And bear in mind, Floper didn't really had plans for Modric & Kroos. Jose pushed for Modric when Floper wanted to buy Mata/Silva/Cazorla while having Ozil and the summer turned into a soap opera. Kroos was mismanaged by Bayern, got angry and came for 25M while Floper wanted James
