Highlights from the sixth day of Bharatiya Bhasha Summer Camp 2026:
Students across Uttarakhand and Goa explored the geographical and historical context of languages through activities centred on rivers, mountains and monuments. Using physical maps, atlases and audiovisual resources, school students learnt about the indigenous names, histories and cultural significance associated with landmarks from different regions of the country.
These learning experiences helped students appreciate the interconnectedness of language, geography and culture while strengthening the spirit of #EkBharatShreshthaBharat.

Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education encourages students from Classes IX to XII across the country to participate in Rashtriya Kavya Utsav 2026, a National Recitation Competition being organised on Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya (ReP) from 1st June to 31st July 2026.
Students may select a poem from the list available on the ReP platform, record a 60–90 second video of their recitation, upload it on social media using the prescribed official handles and hashtag and submit their entry through https://t.co/8umKVnZf3x.

राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा नीति 2020 के अनुरूप, स्कूल शिक्षा एवं साक्षरता विभाग, शिक्षा मंत्रालय, बहुभाषिकता को बढ़ावा देने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है। इसी उद्देश्य के साथ आयोजित भारतीय भाषा ग्रीष्मकालीन शिविर 2026 देशभर में एक जन-आंदोलन का रूप ले चुका है। 43 राज्यों/केंद्रशासित प्रदेशों/स्वायत्त निकायों की सहभागिता के साथ अब तक 3.52 करोड़ से अधिक छात्र, 23.77 लाख शिक्षक, 8.79 लाख विद्यालय और 5.59 लाख समुदाय इस अभियान से जुड़ चुके हैं। 1,978 से अधिक गतिविधियों के माध्यम से छात्र अपनी ग्रीष्मकालीन छुट्टियों के दौरान भारत की भाषाई एवं सांस्कृतिक विविधता को जानने, समझने और उससे जुड़ने का अवसर प्राप्त कर रहे हैं।
