@thosethatcan Being encouraged on induction day by the deputy head to give new things a try in lessons because a lesson that goes badly isn't the end of the world. After previous school where all lessons needed to follow same structure and have correct logos on slides etc!
@thosethatcan I was asked this today! I said to remember that the staff you'll observe have been doing this a long time usually - don't expect to be perfect right away and remember that it's ok for lessons to not go to plan. Even after almost 10 years some lessons are still disasters!

@LibbyPageWrites I've just rewatched Gilmore Girls while off work sick...but watched Heartland on Netflix (not for the first time!) when I was off with covid earlier in the year.
I wrote an article for this issue of @HelloWorld_Edu about our approach to developing logical reasoning skills in KS3 Computing using Japanese logic puzzles - check it out on page 46! I'm very excited that it's featured on the cover! ๐คฉ

@informed_teach @HelloWorld_Edu We start all of our KS3 Computing lessons with a puzzle, and lots of GCSE and A Level lessons too! We are mostly paperless, so all of the puzzles are in OneNote, but they come from various websites and books. Happy for you to PM me if you'd like more info!
Really thought-provoking talk from @Bahareh360 at #AIUK@turinginst - I hadn't thought about computational thinking skills being used in journalism before, but interesting to see how our subject-specific skills can be used, and are desirable, in even more industries!
I'm looking forward to @bertievidgen, @DamianCollins, @asharling, Katie Morris and Beeban Kidron talking about the future of regulation for online safety today, and Adrian Hilton, @gemmamilne and @Bahareh360 tomorrow on AI for education, media and entertainment.
