@alaimo_kelly If you’re getting your education in today’s world, yes. If you went to college 20 years ago, maybe not so much. I just feel like times are so different and people are fighting for change today. We are being super educated on injustice and how to fight it in the classroom.

@logansmithh19 I think a lot of people are “stuck in their ways” and don’t really know how to teach outside the box. I really like how we are being educated on how to be inclusive in the classroom through our Auburn classes - it gives us new and fun ways to teach! #auctee3100book

@KellieVosteen I’m from Chicago, so I’ve seen murals and painting all over different places downtown. I love how pretty the art looks and they messages behind what people are painting

@alaimo_kelly I think one way to do so, is making sure all students are treated equally when it comes to discipline. Having like a “board” with colored squares for every student. And when they get to a certain color, then further action would be taken. That way no one student is singled out.

@annabolton_01 I think the first step in taking an abolitionist approach is by calling out, respectfully, your peers and coworkers when you notice them being racist or prejudice. This goes for both inside and outside the classroom. Even on social media #auctee3100book

@annabolton_01 It sucks to think that money matters in the world of education, but it does. Children in low income areas don’t get the kind of education that children get in areas where money isn’t a problem. I think we need to find a way, somehow, to better fund the schools in low income areas

@alaimo_kelly One example could be holding coworkers/other teachers accountable for being racist or discriminatory. I think it’s important to make sure kids feel safe in their learning environment, so intervening prejudice would be beneficial
