The Pentagon is awarding $10 million to the Mike Rowe Works Foundation with the goal of getting more young Americans trained to help build and repair ships, aircraft and munitions
Mike Rowe has been advocating for America to make investments in the futures of young Americans since his time on the Discovery Channel series Dirty Jobs
“Turns out these are AI-proof, 6-figure jobs that we're talking about — the feds have quite rightly come to the conclusion that we've got a skills gap that is not only affecting the population at large, it's impacting our national security”
“We're looking for the next generation of submarine builders and shipbuilders and people who can work on sophisticated weapons systems. They gave me the money to help train them, but they're also investing hundreds of millions of dollars into this effort”
Just so everyone can rest easy on this money being given to Mike Rowe’s nonprofit, he has consistently taken $0 in compensation from it. All the money he takes in actually goes to what it’s supposed to go to, helping people
Today I finally understood something about Donald Trump that I had been missing this entire time. And when it hit me — it hit me completely. Because, look at who this man chose to surround himself with.
Not billionaires.
Not people born into power.
Not people who had everything handed to them.
Karoline Leavitt — 27 years old. Ice cream shop girl from New Hampshire.
Trump looked at her and saw something the entire world missed.
Made her the youngest Press Secretary in American history.
Susie Wiles — a woman who has spent her whole life quietly strategizing from the background.
No fame. No spotlight. Just pure brilliance.
Trump looked at her and said — you will be my Chief of Staff. First female Chief of Staff in American history.
JD Vance — a soldier. A boy from Appalachia who served his country in uniform before he ever served it in office.
Trump looked at him and said — you will stand beside me.
Pete Hegseth — a soldier who gave everything on the battlefield. Two Bronze Stars.
Trump looked at him and said — you will lead our military.
Marco Rubio — the son of a bartender and a hotel maid. Two immigrants who came to America with nothing.
Trump looked at their son and made him the first Latino Secretary of State in American history.
My wife heard all of this tonight and said, "Do you understand what Trump actually did?
He did not build a powerful administration.
He built an unbreakable one."
Because every single person in it knows what it feels like to have nothing. And people who came from nothing never take anything for granted.
Tonight, say one prayer for this entire administration. And say a bigger one for the man who chose them.
Then pass this to every American who needs to understand why this administration hits different from every single one that came before it (Jeff Roush)
"Here's a man that hates the Constitution and that which makes us Americans.”
“He’s a Muslim, for crying out loud. He’s a jihadist at core.”
- Pastor James David Manning on Zohran Mamdani.
Y'all agree with him?
I would LOVE to talk about all the good things the Senate Republicans have done, like Sen. James Lankford wanted Larry Kudlow to do. BUT WHAT HAVE THEY DONE?!
Besides passing the One Big Beautiful Bill (which Trump basically had to pull teeth to get through), what else have they actually accomplished recently that really benefits the American people? It’s all been Trump. And whenever he wants to codify anything, it stalls in Congress.
Our Founding Fathers would be ashamed of what the Senate has become. Stop making excuses and start doing your job.
@johnrich@BasedMikeLee Thank you Mike! So where is @MarshaBlackburn ?! Hiding?… spouting false campaign promises? Fake talking to Tennesseans everyday? Stuck in the elevator?
Of all the bills I’ve introduced in the Senate, the SAVE America Act should be one of the easiest to pass.
Getting behind it should require very little deliberation or hesitation on the part of any lawmaker.
It’s stunning to me that anyone considers it controversial.
