@ruter Ruteinfo på Manglerud T viste forsinkelser, mens banen gikk som den skulle. Flere passasjerer misset den fordi de sto ved veien og ringte taxi. Under middels kundereise.
Leo Ajkic imponerer i første episode av #uro på #nrk Han snakker med folk og ikke om dem. Han skygger ikke unna problemer, men spør heller hva som kan gjøres for å løse dem, istedet for å fordele skyld. Respect!
@RogueLeader42@chipadeedoodah@halleluyang@ChuckWendig It’s widely believed Clinton’s ‘basket of deplorables’ speech cost her the election. In any case, that wasn’t taking the high road. Nor was labelling Brexit supporters racist. She could have won, and Brexit could have been avoided. So vote in the next election, and don’t give up.
@RogueLeader42@chipadeedoodah@halleluyang@ChuckWendig That anger-fueled vitriol only serves your adversaries. Staying cool and collected, presenting well founded arguments is probably a better option. There are millions who vote republican who aren’t despicable fascists, why not try to win them over, rather than hurling insults.
@chipadeedoodah@RogueLeader42@halleluyang@ChuckWendig It’s okay to be angry about the current state of affairs, but I fear more vitriol of that kind only helps the people you are against. It didn’t prevent Brexit, it didn’t stop Trump, and I doubt it will win you the next elections.
@authorjla @JosiahHawthorne@urasillylibby@Marvel@ChuckWendig Can’t argue with that. But I do think that’s exactly the point when we need to remember that anger alone won’t solve the problems we face. You guys have an important election coming up. Stay collected and vote, focus on what you are FOR rather than against. I wish you good luck.
@JosiahHawthorne@urasillylibby @authorjla @Marvel@ChuckWendig All the more reason to develop a winning strategy against these types. Remember that they thrive on polarization, and the degeneration of political debate into angry spite only serves their purpose. Be better than them, be principled and accountable when they are not.
@JosiahHawthorne @authorjla @Marvel@ChuckWendig Sure, I get that. Still, trying to understand someone doesn’t mean that you have to condone what they do. On the contrary, it can be a way to figure out how defeat them in elections :)
@JosiahHawthorne @authorjla @Marvel@ChuckWendig@realDonaldTrump Hehe, perhaps he should be. Problem is, he got elected to the highest office there is, and that comes with immunity so he’s nearly impossible to fire as it is. If the democrats could stop responding to his shenanigans precisely the way he wants, he could be ‘fired’ in 2020.
@JosiahHawthorne @authorjla @Marvel@ChuckWendig Bigotry isn’t defined by which group you hate or are intolerant against, a lot of people get this wrong. Racism against whites is still racism, and bigotry towards conservatives is still bigotry.
@authorjla @thewizardofawe @AbigailStrom @Marvel@ChuckWendig Oh there’s no doubt that the prez frequently dishes out bigotry. BUT that was never the question here, that was about Chuck Wendig. And good Chuck should aspire to be way better than the people he criticizes.
@authorjla @thewizardofawe @AbigailStrom @Marvel@ChuckWendig No you’re not, I gave you an answer. Here’s a screenshot from some of his now deleted tweets reacting to the appointment og Kavanaugh:
