Nobody tells you this: the single most transformative habit isn't meditation, exercise, or journaling. It's catching yourself mid-pattern and choosing differently. In real time. Not in reflection. Not in hindsight. In the actual moment. That micro-interruption is worth more than any morning routine.
I hate how ADHD has been sensationalized as the fun mental illness but having it literally feels like walking around with some very specific kind of dementia that is actively ruining your life at every step and the culprit is always you.
I can run a meeting, solve the problem, sound extremely competent, then lose the next 40 minutes to one crooked sock seam. ADHD is such a humiliating mix of capability and fabric-based collapse
The most exhausting part of ADHD isn't being "lazy," it's being incredibly intelligent and capable of complex problem-solving, yet being completely defeated by a single unreplied email or a pile of laundry. You spend your whole life apologizing for a "potential" you can see but can't consistently reach
I don’t understand the Morning Person supremacy shtick. I really don’t.
When I go to bed earlier and get up earlier - even when I am consistent for months - I never acclimate.
My body HATES it.
I speak for all the late-chronotype homies. It nerfs my creativity; I mean GONE. I’m drowsy all day.
It’s miserable.
And then there are so SO many people like this just moralizing the living heck out of sleep/wake times and for WHAT??
Idk man I’m so over it. I force myself into that schedule sometimes because I have to. I accept that society was built for the majority and the majority are not late chronotype people. FINE.
But I am not accepting one more second of shame about how I best function.
Morning people who have a problem with night owls: take it up with God, already. He’s the one who made us this way 😂🤷🏻♀️.
It’s like you’re mad that I have hazel eyes, I swear.
I don't need "low maintenance" friends. I need "high tenacity" friends.
Friends who see me ignoring the group chat for 3 weeks and correctly identify it as a "System Error" rather than a personal attack.
Thank you for not letting me fire myself from this friendship. You are the real MVPs.
In North America we have had ONE generation of women having full freedom and equal rights. We are now seeing a rise in angry men who are whining about being left behind, becoming more conservative, and talking about "the male loneliness epidemic". It's not a coincidence
I have seen people get thrown face-down onto a hard floor for failing to follow a judge's orders.
I have seen people sent to Rikers Island for refusing to follow a judge's order.
Courts have plenty of hard power. But they only have practice using it against poor people.
