We said goodbye to my grandmother this week. At 104 years old, my “Mimi” had a life well lived. Evident by the many stories shared with family and friends over the last couple of days. And evident in the way people talked about who she was, how much she meant to so many.🧵
@KimmyMonte A guy broke up with me and said “it’s like that U2 song - I can’t live WITH or WITHOUT you.” And now a song that is played in mainstream A LOT (trust me) is forever connected to a guy I dated for maybe a month, 20 years ago who I otherwise would have def forgotten… Thanks Brad!
I need you all to know about the original version of Whitesnake’s “Here I Go Again,” which demonstrates the colossal difference one single word can make. https://t.co/0YGnmOpKqC
@MaraDavis So frustrating to see. From what I understand, it’s not exactly easy to access this healthcare at the moment and not something a minor can access without a parent. So why are we now parenting parents? What’s next? What precedent does this set?
I highly recommend volunteering with animals when grieving a loss. I miss my girl so much but it warms my heart to honor her this way. Not everyone is ready for this and that’s ok, but I am finding it INCREDIBLY healing. Btw you can adopt Harrison and Barb from @WagsandWalks 🥰
March 2019 - I was in Seattle for work and came home and picked her up from boarding. She was so happy we were reunited, she always came out and was SO HAPPY when I picked her up 💕but she always made friends with chihuahuas because she’s so fluffy and they’d curl up in her fur!
One of my fav photos of her. Malibu woofs 💕 we were on a little staycation and had a nice little drive to the beach one morning and sat and looked at the waves together. I ended up in the same spot a few weeks ago when I went for a drive up the coast. I miss you my girl 🐾🌈
@tilanavel Your body does so much for you! You are breathing and alive and that’s so wonderful. Think of all the incredible things you body does for you everyday and try to honor that. Sending love and light… and GRACE 💕
