Hello - I wrote a new blog about the teaching of whole class reading, which I haven't in a while. It's over 9000 words so quite a read, but I hope the comprehensive nature of it comes across as helpful, rather than patronising. Anyway - hope it's useful!

Mixed age classes are not the end of the world!!! Schools across the sector are running them brilliantly and there are oodles of people who can offer help and advice #bettertogether
As always, exceptional.
It might also mean changing the way schools try to improve academic standards – a shift away from systems designed to track and drive progress through numbers and grades and a refocusing on the substance of learning itself –
New blog post. Christian Inclusion.
My talk to the Flourishing Trusts Network on prioritising vulnerable children and how to frame this within a Christian values system.

We have many schools with mixed age classes @DartmoorMAT and the children get an excellent deal.
There is often trepidation from parents around changing the model but the provision is superb and if you want to see truly superb teaching you will find it in mixed age classes

Thrilled to share a new series of podcasts where I talk to some of the most brilliant people in education - like @joannapple - about what they’re working on right now.
This first episode we ask “What’s so special about small schools?”
@MoreMorrow@JoshMac88@busby_stuart If you DM me your email address I’ll send you what I have! Are you in the small schools WhatsApp group? It’s super helpful with this sort of thing!
Why did Rishi come to Torridge and Tavistock to help Sir Geoffrey? Was it this poll the Daily Mail used in its story, a mega poll? You are reading it correctly, Isabel Saxby Labour not just winning, but now surging ahead to oust Sir Geoffrey Cox #creamfirstpeoplefirst
