Billionaires making their fortunes in the UK, then packing up and leaving when it’s time to contribute a little more back to the country that helped make them rich.
There’s something pretty disgusting about having more than you could ever spend and still wanting to pay less.
Excuse ME mister Nicky Campbell - @bbc5live nobody gets £70k a year PIP payments.
The top end of the payment isn’t even £1k per month.
You have a duty to correct that claim by your caller.
@Ofcom
#bbclaurak Helen Whatley, Shadow SoS for work & pensions, has claimed £2M expenses in 10 years. Her boss, Kemi Badenoch has 3 children, claims £2.7K per month to rent a 6 bed farmhouse & tried to claim expenses for a family holiday. The country cant afford these scroungers
It’s morally wrong the taxpayer is paying for Helen Whately’s millionaire lifestyle. We pay her salary, her £39k a year rent on a second home less than 50miles from Westminster, her energy bills, council tax, fuel & travel, food & drink…
Enough is enough of this grifter!
Reminder - Tory embarrassment Whately is a millionaire on £113,612/yr salary. Yet taxpayers cover her London second home expenses (£39,000 a year). Council tax, water, electric, everything! Meanwhile, she wants to cut benefits for disabled people living on from £11k to just £7k.
@Helen_Whately@Conservatives Helen how are your expenses claims going? Must be great to have a huge salary & get expenses for things ordinary people have to pay for ourselves. I trust you don’t use the subsidised restaurant & bar in the commons either as that looks like a huge benefit paid for by taxes to me
#r4today this is Jim Ratcliffe: raised in a council house, paid by the state; educated in a state school; went to uni, fees paid by the state. Makes it big, is a multi £B. Doesn't wat to pay the taxes that got him where he is today. He is, my friends, the epitome of a parasite
@MusharafAsghar@annakerr_ One of the most moving, inspiring pieces of tv I have ever watched. I think about it a lot in my work in special education. What amazing humans you both are 🥰
Tesco are making £4bn a year in profit.
About 50% of their staff are on Universal Credit.
Why don't we crackdown on this unneeded benefit for billionaires?
Helen Whately is a millionaire. She also claims the most than other MPs.
Including £39k a rent paid for by us. Her bills, her council tax, her travel expenses, her subsidised food & drink.
But Helen wants you to believe disabled people on an average of £15k a year are the issue
@Helen_Whately Well let’s hope you or any member of your family never find yourself in a position of terminal illness or have an accident where this is a lifeline, or perhaps you are too wealthy to understand 😡
@MaxFRobespierre@terrychristian Your only ever one accident away from a life changing experience that could mean PIP is your lifeline , I hate these people 😡
Richard Tice. Tax dodger.
Nadhim Zahawi. Tax dodger.
Nigel Farage. Tax dodger.
Robert Jenrick. Claimed dodgy expenses for third home. Sacked by Boris Johnson.
Nathan Gill. Currently residing at HM prison.
Yep. Reform UK. A political party for working people.
It's OK everyone, Richard Tice underpaying £91,000 in tax was just a "minor administrative error", whereas Angela Rayner underpaying £40,000 stamp duty was a resigning matter.
