@conor_white Promoting an extreme points competition instead of maching skill and ability to passion and learning for work & fulfillment.
Fairness could be improved if the LC reflected holsitic skills/intelligences, rather than predominantly rote learning (in subjects other than maths).
"On Thursday, UCD said it had not been the responsiblity of Prof Deeks to reply to Prof James-Chakraborty"
The most honest and disappointing response from UCD yet.
I hope that following these stories, we finally start to see the leadership that UCD deserves on these issues!
There was also no further comment made when I called out Deeks for describing my actions as Students' Union President as 'emotional', when I led protests against a 12% rent increase on campus last year. Completely inappropriate!

A common theme of empowering student reps to be at the forefront of the ISSE campaign is coming up, as a key to successful engagement of students with the survey.

"If you're only looking through an issue with one lense, you're not seeing the bigger picture. As a young person in the LGBTQ+ community, it's isolating to not see yourself and the types of relationships you wish to have reflected back" - Deborah Fakeye
