@NeilRedFM single working parents can get on the National Childcare Scheme but only if there are spaces in a Tulsa reg facility. No spaces in Ballincollig so 50% of my wages go to a childminder.
@NeilRedFM Neil just a note on people saying “put the teachers on the PUP” they should know that a lot of teachers would be better of financially on the PUP but are still doing their best of their students.
Ger Feeney was a colleague of Matt Ó Tuathail. So how will #SIPO deal with the complaint lodged by Village's editor following an article about a County Council where a (rare) 'preliminary inquiry' was launched in March? & with @paulmurphy_TD's complaint about O'Tuathail/Varadkar?
@CarCar__cc@AngelaMcAdam@rteliveline@joeliveline There’s pressure on both sides. If you formula feed your looked down and people will say you didn’t try or your not doing what’s best for baby, if you’re breastfeeding it’s seen as being a hippy or self-righteous. Let parents feed their children how they see fit ✌🏻💕
@NeilRedFM If it weren’t for my family, when my leave is up I wouldn’t be able to return to work as I can’t get my son in a crèche. A lot of people are in my position and it’s reducing the number of women in the workplace. 2/2
@NeilRedFM Neil, most crèches won’t take a child under 12 mths as the ratio is 1 staff to 3 babies. ML needs to be extended to reflect the services available in the country or else the services need to be expanded by the state to allow women to go back to work at the end of ML. 1/2
@TheSnappertweet @NeilRedFM Maternity leave is more than just being held up in the house. My little boy was a week old when lockdown started. No post natal care, no breastfeeding support, still hasn’t met his Nana and Granda as they live in the UK. Crèche waiting lists have gotten longer.
@NeilRedFM Shame people aren’t spending their hard earned bobs in shops with a more ethical supply chain. If you can buy a knickers for .50c you have to ask how. Plus those clothes will all probably end up in landfill somewhere in 12 months.
@gavreilly 🙈it breaks my heart to see people getting so excited about this. Penney’s suppliers pay sub standard wages and don’t provide safe working conditions....would be good to spend money in shops with a more with a more ethical supply chain?
@thewestcorkbull@OpinionLine96 Completely agree! There’s no training required and loads of youths / adults not working. I’m sure they would be glad of the money and able to keep up social distancing.
Any suggestions on something kind I can do for my elderly grandparents? They’re getting cabin fever without mass or the pub or hairdressers #coronavirus
@occularmandible @evelynharte It’s responsiblity of the tennant to advise the landlord in writing within 28 days of receipt if they don’t accept the notice due to it being invalid.
@DSWHA@evelynharte That’s an incredibly one sided and short term approach. Your advising someone to work the system instead of correcting the flaws in the system. #disappointed
@evelynharte This sounds like a really stressful situation for you especially in this current climate. If you’ve had a good relationship with your landlord and the notice isn’t valid, please let her know ahead of time that your not intending on moving. Don’t be that person. 🙏🏻✌🏻
@evelynharte If DCC housing are anything like CCC housing and @ThresholdIRE they won’t help you until you’ve pulled every trick in the book on your landlord not matter if he / she was incredibly fair. The current system pushes the public issue on to the private sector.
@DSWHA@evelynharte Well your landlord has to get on with her needs too. Maybe if she hasn’t given the correct notice, let her know. It’s the right thing to do. Instead of using delay tactics because the system is flawed.
