After two years as Base Warrant Officer, we say goodbye to WO1 Chris Lindop RN and welcome WO1 Jason “Tats” Proctor RN from BDSSU Singapore.

Chris, thank you for all you have given to us all.

Jason, welcome aboard.

On 18 June 1943, 33 young Sailors lost their lives when a bomb struck HMS COLLINGWOOD.

Many were little older than the trainees who walk these grounds today.

Their futures were taken, but their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

HMS COLLINGWOOD was proud to welcome Admiral Sir Keith Blount KCB OBE RN as Reviewing Officer for Ceremonial Divisions 2026.

Bringing together Ship’s Company and trainees, the parade reflected the discipline, professionalism and pride that continue to define today’s Royal Navy.

On this day at 0600 HMS Hood was torn apart in the Denmark Strait.

In moments, 1,415 sailors were lost to the sea.

Yet even now 85 years later their courage and sacrifice still echo through the Royal Navy they served.

We remember HMS Hood.
We remember her ship’s company.

Captain John Cromie recognised outstanding achievement across HMS Collingwood, presenting medals and End of Term Awards to those whose professionalism and commitment underpin a Royal Navy that is ready, resilient and operationally focused.

Today I learned that pockets in dresses were phased out so women could prove they were not witches and carrying ill intentions and spells. This is why women love pockets in skirts and dresses now. We carry our spells and curses without purses and you won't see us coming.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Admiral of the Fleet Sir Ben Bathurst GCB. A remarkable leader, he served the Royal Navy and our Nation with distinction for over 40 years - from Squadron Commander to First Sea Lord. Our heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones.

I had a book at school you copied the pages of the animal &it’s heart,lungs,Skelton & coloured it in &then stuck it all together, so you could see the inside when you lifted the layers.I remember it had green edges the book, was quite thin would love to find it #TeachingCommunity
