"I trust it has been clear that what happened at the time of Constantine was not only a departure from the New Testament teaching, but also a departure from the practice of the early church." —D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones
There is no debate about whether Charlie Kirk was martyred because a debate can not be based on people's feelings and emotions.
Words have meaning.
There are hundreds of hours of publicy available video of Charlie Kirk speaking, so it's clear what he believed.
He was killed because of those beliefs. Not because of something else. That makes him a martyr by definition. His beliefs were based on a biblical worldview. Especially everything he said about men, women, marriage, and transgenderism.
He publicly and bodly preached the biblical Gospel. Something that almost every Christian in America is too cowardly to do for their own self-preservation. What's most alarming is that those very same Christians will watch this man get shot to death and focus first on skin color, Donald Trump, how they feel, and their personal biases.
That's not a Christian response, even if you dont agree with Charlie Kirk's politics. Christians prioritize what is true over how they may feel for the glory of God, His Kingdom agenda, the authority of His Word, and the name of Jesus Christ.
I had the privilege of attending Charlie Kirk’s memorial today.
Something significant is afoot. Christianity is no longer being apologized for or pushed to the fringes. It is at the forefront of current discourse.
Praise God. What a moment!
There is no "Next John MacArthur."
There is no "Next Voddie Baucham."
There is no "Next Charlie Kirk."
God has never sent us duplicates of faithful Christians.
We get one of each.
This is God showing us that we do not depend on men.
We depend on Jesus.
And we have him!
If you see a comment that fills you with anger respond with this video…. This is the only response that truly matters. Save the video and use it, let’s expand his legacy and the gospel he preached 🩷🩷
Let’s share this far and wide because the gospel saves. If we want change we need to make disciples. #CharlieKirk
Charlie Kirk founded Turning Point USA, and his death marks the turning point for our generation and nation. He championed life, values, church, and he gave his life for God's movement, much like Jesus who taught, debated, and sacrificed as the first martyr. What's next is a mighty move of God's Spirit drawing us to lead boldly.
