I am worried about people labeling design patterns, principles, DDD, etc. as a way to over-engineer your software. I see it a lot lately. Honestly, sure, you can over-engineer with these, but at the moment I think we should be more worried about under-engineering.

Code tells you WHAT, comments tell you WHY. Don't comment what it is or what it does, explain WHY. WHY do we need this abstraction? WHY do we listen to this event? WHY do we sum things that way and not in a simpler fashion?
