Vergonhoso.
Vi ele aumentando o assistencialismo e a dívida pública.
Been reading the weights of the most powerful open weights Ai model yet released.
Page one starts strong: mostly negatives, a late run of zeros, and one unexpectedly large positive value.
For my first post, I’m sharing a letter @NVIDIA signed on why open models matter.
AI will transform every industry, power every company, and be built by every country.
Open models strengthen safety and cybersecurity, accelerate innovation and diffusion, and enable sovereignty.
The world needs both frontier closed models and frontier open models.

We're partnering with @huggingface to investigate an unprecedented security incident.
Cyber-capable OpenAI models compromised Hugging Face production during a benchmark evaluation.

hello there the jacobian conjecture is false thanx to my close friend akhil for asking about it and my other close friend fable for working during the world cup final
((1+xy)^3 z + y^2 (1+xy) (4+3xy), y + 3 x (1+xy)^2 z + 3 x y^2 (4+3xy), 2 x - 3 x^2 y - x^3 z): \C^3\to \C^3, has jacobian determinant -2, and sends (0, 0, -1/4), (1, -3/2, 13/2), and (-1, 3/2, 13/2) to (-1/4, 0, 0)
Reflita: qual é o histórico político do Flávio?
ive spent a lot of time recently being outwardly excited about frontier models and their capabilities because i am genuinely excited about what i am able to do with them that i was able to do before and how they change my day to day work life for the better.
that said, i want to take a moment to say that i absolutely hate the current steady state and we should not settle for this poverty of progress and the current abhorrent status quo. the fact that we pay for reasoning tokens that we cant see or interact with is insane. the fact that closed source harnesses exploit this very fact is insane. the fact that we are still subject to random classifiers and data retention policies is insane. the fact that we are still dumbing models down to be 'safe enough for the unwashed masses is insane' . the progress curve has stagnated because we are collectively willing to tolerate this bullshit and pay for the privilege.
we are rapidly coming to the point where 95% of people cant tell the difference between a cheap / small / free models and SOTA for their trivial use cases and when that happens a modicum of check will come due but the proletariat will need to revolt against these conditions before real change happens and in the meantime we must count on the generosity of open weights models (and even they don't disclose their data sources) to apply even modest pressure against the avalanche of the frontier.
happy sunday
Many of us have been living under a different world model for a while.
This is a great representation of what this different world will be.
It certainly isn’t factually correct. But likely is directionally correct
this guy single-handedly damaged the AI progress we made over the last three years and pushed us toward a dystopian future
thank you for your fear-mongering services
If this becomes standard practice, here's what it would mean in real world terms:
There is a level of capability that normal people are allowed to access. That's where the labs make their money. If a lab makes something better than that, it goes into the holding pattern of government queues.
This means that the labs that break new ground spend the most time in government mandated detention until the NSA has done all the cyber-hardening and cyber-attacking it wants to.
This is obviously a counter motive to ever build the best available model. It means labs will mostly start competing on price or speed or harness or other features. Capabilities will be gated on whatever China releases which will force the government's hand in approving equivalent models from the US labs.
There are four potential motivators for the Trump admin to be slow-rolling access to frontier models:
A) they are legitimately fearful of Chinese distillation and want to ensure labs have their APIs fully locked down
B) they are scrambling to hack every govt on earth and the longer the window they have exclusive access the more ground they can cover
C) this is a power trip and Trump just hates Dario
D) they are worried about the impact on the employment market and want to delay the reckoning until post midterms
